Lansweeper Fall Launch 2024: Gain Deeper Insights, Maximize Performance
The temperatures are dropping, the leaves have changed their colors, and we’ve stored our summer wardrobe away until next year; all signs point toward another Fall Launch! And what a Launch it is. We have some great new features that have been a long time in the making like collective intelligence and a completely new low-code/no-code automated workflow builder.
The new Lansweeper Discovery is entering general availability, so now it’s the Dashboard’s turn to receive a complete overhaul. Enhancements have been made to improve your Risk Insights as well as the transition from Lansweeper On-prem to Lansweeper Sites. Let’s take a closer look!
The Lansweeper You Know and Love, but Better
New, Faster, and Better Discovery
In our Summer Launch, we announced that we were rebuilding Lansweeper’s Discovery from the ground up. This brand-new Lansweeper Discovery is now entering general availability, bringing you faster, more comprehensive, and more efficient scanning for your on-prem, cloud, and remote environments. A combination of network discovery, the IT Agent and IT Agent portable, and cloud discovery ensures complete visibility across your cloud, on-prem, and mobile environments, and thanks to continuous monitoring, your data is always up to date.
We have also listened to your feedback and Lansweeper Discovery can now be installed on Windows, Linux, or Mac and will be updated automatically, offering greater flexibility and cross-platform compatibility.
Your New Dashboard, the Way You Want It.
Now that Discovery has leveled up, it’s time for the Dashboard to receive an upgrade. In this Fall Launch, you can preview the new, fully customizable BI-powered dashboard. This new dashboard experience boasts a clean, modern, and easy-to-use interface and is fully customizable with advanced tools for data analysis.
Thanks to the new widget alerts, you can automatically be notified of critical changes in your environment. The user-friendly and interactive design of the dashboards makes data analysis more intuitive and thanks to the inclusion of advanced BI tools you can easily uncover trends and make real data-driven decisions.
Activate Your Lansweeper Data
Global Benchmarking With Collective Intelligence
Have you ever wondered how your IT operations compare to others? Well, it’s time to find out with Collective Intelligence. Collective Intelligence allows you to compare your IT operations against anonymized data from thousands of IT environments worldwide. This comparison gives you immediate and actionable benchmarking insights based on current trends and industry best practices. Get a clear understanding of how your efforts stack up against those of industry peers, identify high-priority issues, make strategic decisions, and improve your operations based on real data.
Easy Automation and Tailor-Made Workflows
Everyone loves data, and having all your IT asset data in one place is great. The challenge, however, is to activate that data. Dashboards and reports can turn your data into insights, now it’s time to go from insights to impact. The brand new flow builder allows both developers and non-developers to easily build automated workflows based on a broad base of data to take specific actions when certain results are discovered.
The flow builder simplifies the creation and management of what once were complex IT workflows, allowing both technical and non-technical users to effectively manage complex systems. Thanks to clear visualizations and an intuitive drag-and-drop builder anyone can build custom workflows, no coding needed. This simplified approach allows for innovation and sharing of ideas across your organization.
Actionable Vulnerability Insights, Prioritized Remediation
A Lansweeper Launch wouldn’t be complete without some improvements to the Risk Insights feature. We keep working on bringing you more comprehensive and actionable vulnerability insights. In this launch that means new data sources, clear, prioritized remediation guidance, and the introduction of software normalization and hardware/OS lifecycle information to Risk Insights. All these enhancements will help you prioritize the most critical vulnerabilities threatening your network so your team can focus their attention and resources where they are needed the most.
No-Hassle Migration from On-prem to Lansweeper Sites
Have you ever wanted to explore Lansweeper Sites only to be stopped in your tracks by the hoops you needed to jump through to migrate from your beloved Lansweeper On-prem installation? Well, we’re happy to announce that we’ve removed many barriers that may have previously stopped you from migrating to LS Sites.
Key functionalities that you know and love in LS on-prem are preserved or even enhanced in Lansweeper Sites, and that includes user management, as so many of you requested. You no longer need to re-enter your data, everything is neatly moved from one installation to the other. Thanks to these changes you can now smoothly and securely transition from on-prem to Lansweeper Sites so you won’t miss out on any new or upcoming enhancements.
But Wait, There’s More
- Hardware and OS Lifecycle information has been relocated to Risk Insights to give you better visibility and context to control your risk.
- Software Normalization is now in general availability and implemented throughout Lansweeper to automatically organize and manage software assets.
- Secure US Hosting is now going in preview for select users to offer secure data hosting in the US for US-based users.
